An unapologetically chocolate coffee with nutty tones. Inspired by the acclaimed author, Toni Morrison. A chocolaty sweetness shines throughout this coffee, with a hints of fruit adding complexity and a big, sticky body bringing it all together.
Got a 12 oz bag of the Toni, with an 8/12/25 roast date. They are very fresh, I have to grind very coarse. These beans in my opinion are roasted darker than medium, they are relatively low density. The smell of the roasted beans is predominantly smoky. Not pleasant for my personal taste.
As espresso they produce an amazing amount of crema, the taste is intense dark chocolate, don't get any nuttiness, the smoky notes is very subtle. I used 17.5g of coffee in an 18g VST basket, producing 37 g of espresso in 25 seconds.
