Community Spotlight 🔦: 3 Parks Wine Shop

Grab a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine) and let’s explore our Atlanta community and the black-owned businesses making waves. This month, we're excited to shine the spotlight on 3 Parks Wine and share what we love about their wines and space.

The original shop, named for its central location between Grant, Glenwood, and Ormewood Park, is owned by our friend, Sarah Pierre. With extensive experience in hospitality, Sarah brings her knowledge and passion for wine to our community. In a 2023 Wine Enthusiast Retailer of the Year feature, Sarah said, "The problem I was solving was making wine approachable.” This commitment resonates with us as both our industries strive to break down barriers for Black folks. Sarah recently celebrated opening her second store in Old Fourth Ward.

Sarah’s dedication to making wine less intimidating aligns with our mission in coffee. Both wine and coffee offer rich sensory experiences rooted in terroir, climate, soil, and altitude. Embracing similar tasting methodologies enhances our appreciation for both beverages and deepens our understanding of their nuanced flavors.

2022 Claus Preisinger 'Puszta Libre!', Burgenland, Austria: A versatile, approachable wine with flavors of fruity blackberry and plum, juicy and tart with earthy, mineral notes, a subtle tannic structure, and a mineral finish.

Division "Un" Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon - A truly special grape that highlights the very best of this classic wine. Subtle nuances of grape jam & black pepper - we're endlessly delighted with this wine.

2020 Mandirola 1913 Praie Barbera, Piedmont, Italy: An Italian wine reminiscent of Northern Rhone Syrah with earthy aromas and notes of purple to black fruit.
