Sorry but if ground’s the only available option please don’t send same day roasted and ground coffee
I wanted to love this coffee… I also waited a while to see if letting it stand for the recommended 14 days (and then some) would change anything.
I had placed my order around the Friday/Saturday 12/26-27, and at the time the only available purchasing option was ground coffee. I assumed “oh that’s all the stock available so I’ll get that.” When my package arrived on 12/30, it said it was roasted on 12/29… which meant that the beans were grounded without resting. If I had known a fresh batch was going to be roasted, I would’ve liked to been able to order whole bean instead of ground.
In this instance, if new stock was going to be made anyway, the whole bean option should’ve been available. If ground bean was out of stock that shouldn’t have been available. Please don’t send me ROASTED AND GROUND ON THE SAME DAY coffee. I’m not getting its intended notes and flavors listed no matter how many days I let it sit and try again. Coffee is not one of those “fresher the better”. The coffee needed time to release its gases BEFORE it was ground. I anticipated “old” stock because it was the only option for 310g bags left. Please share roasting days or at least give the option to change the type if you’re making fresh beans, OR JUST HAVE WHOLE BEAN AVAILABLE TO BEGIN WITH if this is how stock is handled.
I would love to try again next holiday season (if it comes back) but for now I gotta work through the bag I got.
