About the Producer: After much cupping and searching, Portrait has finally found the perfect cup of decaf coffee! Our Valle del Cauca Excelso was decaffeinated in Colombia using ethyl acetate - an organic compound derived from sugar cane - to remove 97% of the caffeine from coffee beans. The process tends to leave a pleasantly sugary flavor. You’ll grab notes of caramel & dried cherry out of this delicious coffee.
This is my favorite coffee - decaf or regular. A balanced and smooth without being bland or muddy. Great black or with a dash of Oat Milk. I initially assumed I would like it because I generally prefer dark roasts. Many people love the bitterness, higher acidity, or sharp flavors that are found in many speciality medium roasts. However, that is not me. If your preferences are similar to mine - grab a bag - you won't be disappointed.

Only decaf I drink
I’ve been searching for a decaf coffee that doesn’t taste like dirt. My wife has a subscription to portrait and snagged be a bag. I LOVE IT. It has so much flavor and is super tasty.

My Manager Loved It!
I don’t drink decaf, but my recent purchase of your decaf coffee grounds was a gift for my manager. She can only drink decaf for health reasons, and has been dealing with disgusting basic store bought decaf options. She said, “Dang this is really good…from someone who hates black coffee…this one I can definitely drink black no issues at all. It’s so smooth!” She was struggling because she can only drink black coffee and I knew that you all had the best!!! I might even give it a try!
