About the Producer: After much cupping and searching, Portrait has finally found the perfect cup of decaf coffee! Our Valle del Cauca Excelso was decaffeinated in Colombia using ethyl acetate - an organic compound derived from sugar cane - to remove 97% of the caffeine from coffee beans. The process tends to leave a pleasantly sugary flavor. You’ll grab notes of caramel & dried cherry out of this delicious coffee.
I don’t drink decaf, but my recent purchase of your decaf coffee grounds was a gift for my manager. She can only drink decaf for health reasons, and has been dealing with disgusting basic store bought decaf options. She said, “Dang this is really good…from someone who hates black coffee…this one I can definitely drink black no issues at all. It’s so smooth!” She was struggling because she can only drink black coffee and I knew that you all had the best!!! I might even give it a try!

Finding decent decaffeinated coffee is very difficult but Portrait cracked the code. This Colombian is excellent coffee. I would drink it even if I didn’t have to decaf.

I found Portrait Coffee when I was trying to find something locally owned by a BIPOC. While I live in another state it is only 4 hrs from me so I felt it was my best option and it did not disappoint.
I’m a proud coffee snob. I drink coffee for the taste and not for the energy and since I have adhd, it’s a downer and I can drink it all day long.
Unfortunately as a woman I had to switch to decaf once I hit that special time in my life (sarcasm).
The taste of Portraits coffee is so smooth, no bitterness at all and it is good hot or cold. I will continue to order from them. I hope one day they offer more than one decaf flavor so that I can try all their coffee.
