About the Farm: Nestled in Peru's scenic Yanatile Valley, Valle Inca is an amazing coffee producer group led by Prudencio Vargas Saenz. Prudencio's leadership has transformed this community-focused venture into an incredible force within the coffee industry. Operating from the Department of Cusco, the group purchases parchment from local farmers and reinvests the profits into community infrastructure and enhancing it's quality. Prudencio's commitment stems from his background as an agricultural loan officer. With over 101 farmers presently involved, Valle Inca's reputation for Prudencio's honesty, dedication, and community-driven approach draws in more farmers. Coffees from Valle Inca reflect this excellence, boasting honeyed florals, crisp red apple, and oolong tea-like tannins. While appealing to specialty professionals, these coffees remain accessible and inviting to all consumers. Valle Inca's allure lies in its untapped potential; under Prudencio's guidance, unexplored coffee-growing areas hold promises of greatness, enriching the specialty coffee landscape.
Purchased a 2lb. Bag whole bean, made my first pot using Moccamaster coffee grinder set at 4 and a half ground 82.8 grams a little more than I normally grind the taste was great I really enjoyed it.
I love the coffee. It is smooth and not too bold. The founders blend is one that I would give away for Christmas. I also love the automated reorder system. I will always buy this coffee.
