About the Farm: Our Koke Honey coffee originates from Ethiopia's lush Gedeo Zone in the Yirgacheffe district, where dedicated smallholder farmers handpick ripe heirloom coffee cherries with exceptional care. These cherries are thoughtfully processed at the renowned Koke and Birbes Kela washing stations, both celebrated for their high-quality and vibrant flavor profiles. After meticulous fermentation and drying, the beans are expertly milled at Tracon Trading's state-of-the-art facility in Addis Ababa. We're proud of our longstanding partnerships with these communities and are committed to bringing their remarkable coffees to your cup.

Uneven and burnt to hell

The roasting of these beans is completely uneven, which half of the beans burnt beyond reckoning. The flavor is charred and bitter. Never again

Everything Portrait plays is a hit

There I was, two weeks ago, brewing my coffee in the morning, half awake. I thought to myself, “You haven’t had an Ethiopian coffee in a while… that harvest has to be coming up soon” and BAM right in my email is Portrait’s announcement for the Ethiopian Koke Honey! Sweet, pleasantly acidic, fruity with those pineapple and peach notes. It’s so tasty I I've been late to work this week so that I can milk a few more minutes slowly drinking this coffee. I’m brewing it in a Chemex for my mornings, but it would make an incredible cold brew, especially in an iced spritz with an slice of grapefruit - perfect for those Fake Fall days. If you are reading this review, BUY THIS COFFEE!

Delicious!

This is by far the best coffee I've had to date. The beans are fresh, the flavor is fruity and delicious, couldn't ask for a better cup. The roasters at Portrait Coffee really know their stuff!
